Modelling the Students’ Intention to Adopt Virtual Platform in Higher Education - A Study on the Students of Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka

With the current advent of information technology, virtual platform has changed the way of learning and provided a wide range of paths for studying. The rapid exchange of information, and networking in addition to the great advances in information technology have encouraged most universities world-wide to deploy ICT technologies in their own strategies. As, this study is intended to focus on the students’ intention to adopt virtual platform in higher education, 172 students from Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), University of Dhaka, have been selected applying the non-probability judgemental sampling technique. Through the use of in-depth interviews, the authors have identified the intention of students of Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), University of Dhaka. For analyzing the data, factor analysis and regression analysis have been conducted and finally, the implications of these findings are discussed and some recommendations have been made for the chosen entity.
